| Becca graduated from the Birmingham School of Jewellery in 2008 with
a BA in jewellery and silversmithing. Working across the disciplines she
produces contemporary jewellery and silverware with an emphasis on
texture and originality. Her 'Avian' series seeks to capture the glimmering
reflections of gulls over the sea, mixing birds' silhouettes with the chaotic
patterns of a flock in flight. |

| My interest in silversmithing began while I was living in Mexico, where I
began using the technique of lost wax casting, creating small sculptures
inspired by nature and household items. In 1999 I moved to London where
I graduated from Sir John Cass with a diploma in silversmithing. Currently
my work is a marriage between the practical and the aesthetic. I create
sterling silver pieces which may be used on a daily basis, but use fine wood
and precious stones to create contrast and give them a different edge. My
work includes flatware, bowls, salt and pepper shakers, ashtrays, pendants
and children's cutlery. I have exhibited in London, Mexico and Colombia. |
